The other day, Mr. and Mrs. Morii who operate Organic Tea Farm in Kamo came to our house for the first time.
He brought me some special matcha “Tsukikage” and I prepared a bowl of the tea for them…
A delicious tea that reflects kindness and warmth of the family.
Not only matcha, but other teas which they produce are also safe and very fragrant.
After enjoying a bowl of Tsukikage'' in my tea room, we decided to experiment with making thick tea using the “Tsukikage”!
Normally, at a tea ceremony, the process goes from thick tea to light tea and so on, but I hadn’t thought about making thick tea until that moment…
It was the first time for the couple to experience thick tea with their Tsukikage. Only the two of you know what it was like…
After enjoying the thick tea, we set up a Japanese low table in the waiting room and brewed some sencha “Seikouudoku” that Mr.and Mrs Morii had brought. I was very grateful and enjoyed listening to the people who actually made the sencha about the temperature and timing etc.
Actually, I was thinking about serving various kinds of delicious and healthy organic tea grown in Japan, not just matcha, to foreigners visiting Japan and deepen our friendship through grass roots. So I really appreciated this opportunity having Morii-san.
